Having shivered through its coldest day of winter last Saturday, Bathurst is forecast to this weekend enjoy its warmest pair of days since early May.
The Bureau of Meteorology's prediction of 18-degree tops on Saturday and Sunday will be almost five degrees above the long-term average for the city for August.

It will also be the first time the city has had two consecutive days of 18 degrees or above since May 8 and 9.
Last Saturday's top of seven degrees, when snow fell on the Central Tablelands, was slightly below the 8.2 degrees that was the lowest maximum for Bathurst in July and the 8.5 degrees that was the lowest maximum in June.
Bathurst's lowest minimum this month was -4.5.
