The meeting with the defending champions will be a big indication of where Western sit in the early pecking order, and whether they can find their early season form.
Coach Mark Rooke is expecting nothing less than a clinical, fast paced Fraser Park in the Saturday clash at Proctor Park.
"It's good to have a break and let the guys get over a few bumps and niggles, though it's nice to have that continuity week in and week out," he said.
"We have managed to get on the pitch and have a session or two so hopefully we'll be ready for Fraser Park, who will be a massive challenge.
"I've watched video from their previous season, where they won the grand final against Central Coast United, and I think there's about four to five players who are the same from last year.
"Even though they won the grand final they've gone out and they've strengthened their squad.
"They always come out with a flamboyant style of football with a strong attack and that shows in their last two games, which were 4-0 and 5-0."
Western have dropped their past two matches after a strong start, and missed out on playing UNSW FC last round due to the weather.
They're hungry to turn it around.
"Because we won those three games at the start and think people have a new mentality towards us and they have prepared a lot better," he said.
"On the other side of that, we also have to prepare a lot better now and make sure that we reach the heights we were at during the start of the year.
"The next few weeks will be a challenge, as we try to play the right football we need to if we want to play in semi-finals."
Kick-off at Bathurst is 4pm.
