Davison joins Michael Caruso, James Moffat, and Broc Feeney as the team's co-drivers for the endurance events on the Supercars calendar.
In a reunion of the 2009 effort that saw both drivers on the podium at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Michael Caruso will co-drive alongside Lee Holdsworth.
Moffat, meanwhile, will drive with Jack Le Brocq in the Supercheap Auto Racing entry for a third consecutive year at Mount Panorama, and as announced in July, Feeney will make his main game debut in the Boost Mobile Ford Mustang, co-driving with James Courtney.
Davison had spent 2019 and the first two rounds of 2020 well in the fold at Tickford Racing, driving for the team's customer entry but was left without a ride after 23Red's major sponsor withdrew its support due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting pause on the 2020 Supercars season.
Joining Waters at Monster Energy Racing brings Davison back into the team environment with which he scored two podiums in 2019, and was equal with Waters on points following the Adelaide 500 in February.
"(It's been a) crazy year for so many, and it's been hard to be on the sidelines, but to know I have such a great partner and team for the big one at Bathurst is pretty huge for me, it's something I'm counting down the days for now," Davison said.
"I know Cam well, obviously, I know everyone here at Tickford incredibly well, so I couldn't be more excited to do my part in helping Cam and the team get a big result at Bathurst."
"It was obviously quite a natural progression. It was pretty easy to come to an arrangement with Tim (Edwards, CEO and Team Principal) and everyone here because I love the team here."
