The Fun Fair will be held at the Bathurst Showground and will run for the next two weekends.
Manager Jade Evans ensured the event is following all COVID Safe protocols.
"We're cleaning down the rides consistently across the day, with three people walking around all day wiping down the rides," she said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"We run two sessions; one from 10am-2pm and the other from 3pm-7pm. We spend that time between sessions doing an extensive clean, fully sanitising all the rides and the stalls.
"It's quite extensive, a lot more money naturally to do that, but for us to get going and starting again, these are the things we have to do to make people feel comfortable in coming to our events.
"We've put a lot in place and our COVID plan is registered with Service NSW."
The community has raised its concern that the event may attract visitors from Sydney, but Ms Evans said the majority of the tickets sold for the first day is all but from the Central West.
"These events have been popping up around Sydney and across NSW, not from us but other operators. So people don't have to come from Sydney to Bathurst to go to a little fair," she said.
"This is for the Bathurst people. And with the ticketing, we can see the suburbs people are coming from and literally 99 per cent of the people are from Orange, Lithgow and Bathurst. We're not getting people buying from outside those areas."
Entry will be via a four-hour session with numbers capped at 400 to stay within the four square metre per person rules.
There will be dedicated entry and exit points with temperature checks and a contact register for all guests as they come in.
Entry is $5 and then you can purchase rides as you go, or there is an unlimited ride pass for $30.
Tickets can be purchased online via www.ticketebo.com.au.
