BATHURST Regional Council has introduced a new booking system at Kids Central inside the Bathurst Rail Museum to reduce waiting times and ensure spots for visitors.

Mayor Bobby Bourke said the Kids Central has proven to be very popular with families and there have been times when visitors have had to wait to get into the play area.
"The new booking system will ensure that everyone has an opportunity to experience the fun of Kids Central and maximise the value of families visiting the facility," Cr Bourke said.
More than 10,000 people have visited the Bathurst Rail Museum since it opened in February, despite a 10-week closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The museum is open 9am-4.30pm six days a week (closed Thursdays).
Session times at Kids Central are 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm and 3pm-4.30pm.
