THERE are always a lot of comments on social media and in the paper about our mayor, mostly negative, from people who like to criticise him.
I'd like to publicly thank Bobby and his wife Ingrid for what they did for me this week.
I live in the same street as the Bourkes. I had an accident in my backyard on Wednesday morning, resulting in the need for an ambulance.
OTHER RECENT LETTERS:
Bobby helped organise the ambulance and waited out the front for it to arrive, while Ingrid, his lovely wife, sat with me for over an hour in the rain, as I couldn't move, until I was taken to hospital.
They then kindly looked after my elderly, cognitively impaired father, checking on him and making sure he understood what was happening until I came home that evening.
I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and what they did for myself and my father on Wednesday.
They are wonderful people.
