He prevailed over Martyn Salmon and Jaiden Graham who both had 40 points while 22 points saw Kevin Arrow win the scratch.
Ian Rodenhuis and Josh Toole both had 40 points in the battle for A grade, Ben Matheson was a shot away in third and the scratch went the way of Cameron Jackson with a fine even-par round.
The B grade victor was Owen Moss (41) from Manuel Pro (39) and Sauro Gregori (38), while the steady David Travis was anointed the scratch winner on 24 points.
A mighty 40 points kept Katrina Ferris clear of her fellow females, who included Cindy Perfect (39) and Jodeen Jackson (35).
John Young was back in the A grade winners' circle via a workmanlike 38 points in Thursday's event. His nearest pursuers were Casey White and Darrell Bourke, who both had 37 points and 31 points enabled Steve McDonald to win the scratch.
Jim Smail won the B grade honours on a countback over Glen Buttsworth after both players had 38 points. Dave Evans was a shot away in third and the scratch is in the hands of Peter Cragg with 21 points.
Young completed the daily double by combining with Kevin Volk (47) to win the 2BBB from Paul Oxley and Buttsworth (45). The pairing of Darrell Bourke and Mark Nelson (34) came away with the scratch honours.
Jenny Murray was first past the post in the women's competition courtesy of 41 points.
Mark Gervasoni was all class on his way to a majestic 45 points on Sunday, his nearest rivals being Daniel Stibbard and Ryan Sparke, who both had 41 points.
