HE may opted for a simple 'pretty good' to sum up how he felt about winning a Group 10 Junior Rugby League grand final, but the actions of Panthers under 11s halfback Riley Carter spoke volumes.

All season Carter has been a star performer for the Panthers and in Saturday's 30-18 grand final win over Cowra Magpies at Jack Arrow Oval he again proved why he is such an asset.
He was creative in attack - his short kicking game a feature - and inspirational in defence, the Panthers captain leading by example in all he did.
Carter paid tribute to both his team-mates and the beaten Magpies for their efforts.
"I am very proud of the boys we went good, to be undefeated is pretty good," he said.
"They were pretty hard Cowra, yeah, but I thought we could win. I was nervous yeah, but when we were winning by two tries that's when I thought we could do it."
From early in the match Carter was active, backing up after a strong Leon Mokoraka charge in the opening minute before helping to force a line drop out.
Though the set that followed did not provide a try, soon after Carter produced a brilliant 35 metre effort - drifting across the line before putting on a step and burst of speed to get into space.
He scored again in the second half with a blindside dart, while he also finished with a pair of try assists.
Even up until the final minute of the match the star halfback was producing big efforts for Panthers.
As Cowra looked for one last try with a raid down the right wing, it was Carter who chased across and made the tackle which forced Magpies' Thomas Craig into touch.
And when asked about scoring a brace in a grand final win Carter simply offered: "It was great to score two tries."
