Bushrangers blew their grand final game against the Orange Tigers open on Sunday when they came onto the field after half-time, kicking five answered goals to win 6-5-41 to 1-3-9 at George Park 1.
Once the Bushrangers came to grips with the awful weather they found their groove, capping off a dominant end to the season.
Coach Steve Grundy said the team came to life after half-time break when they became hungrier for the ball.
"We hadn't dropped a game since round three so it was a really great way to finish the year off," he said.
"It was anyone's game until half-time. We were just struggling to get our hands on the ball and Orange were a little better at the contest. We only had a one-point lead at half-time.

"Then we really made an effort to win those contested possessions, and upped our tackling intensity when we got the ball forward. That's when we started to pull away.
"We blew them away in the third quarter after we kicked an early goal and from there we never took the foot off the pedal.
"Our mantra all year has been to try and get better with every game and I think we saved our best performance for the last game of the season."
