Around 16 businesses, including clothing stores, takeaway food outlets and lifestyle retailers, will invite local shoppers to seek out a desirable bargain, while also going into the draw to win one of a handful of $1000 Visa cards.
Cotton On Bathurst store manager Simone Saigi said the store will get into the spirit of Crazy Day with a "mask-themed party."
"We'll be wearing our colourful masks for much of the day, and anyone else wearing a mask will instantly go into the draw for a $1000 Visa card," Ms Saigi said.
"Most of our sales will be spring-themed, including $10-$15 off dresses, $7 graphic t-shirts, swimsuits and various buy one, get one free deals."
Ms Saigi said events such as Crazy Day play an important role in building buzz among local businesses.
"These events help put local businesses on centre stage," she said.
A joint promotion between the Western Advocate, Prime 7 and Bathurst Regional Council, Crazy Day is held each year in September to give participating businesses the opportunity to clear excess stock, as well as promote the importance of shopping locally.
Businesses participating in Crazy Day 2020 include Cotton On, Gorgeousness [Boutique and Home], Panthers Bathurst, Town and Country, Spotlight, Watermart, Bathurst RSL Club, Body and Soul, National Hearing Care and Amplifon Brand, Blooms Chemist, Burgers on William, Pizza Rebellion, Bake Table and Tea, Dejorja and News on William.
