The Youth Council held its last meeting on September 15, ahead of a new batch of councillors being selected to fill their shoes for 2020-21.
Councillor Alex Christian commended the students for the work they have put in, highlighting their outdoor cinema experience and their final project for R U OK? Day.

"To the youth mayor Jack Lynch, to the youth deputy mayor Natalia Burgess and all those youth councillors, they should be tremendously proud of themselves," he said.
"To put their hands up and to basically perform a civic service is excellent."
Further to that, he said the students were a credit to themselves, their families and the city.
"... I think we're going to miss this group. Apparently it's one of the best groups to ever come through," Cr Christian said.
Councillor Monica Morse also drew attention to R U OK? Day, which saw the youth councillors have trees in Machattie Parked wrapped for three days from September 11 to 13, to raise awareness for mental health and encourage people to ask that important question.
"It was a very simple thing to wrap the trees in Machattie Park, and they looked good, and it certainly brought the attention to everybody to say 'Are you okay?'," she said.
A new group of youth councillors will take up their positions in October 2020, with their term to be shortened to nine months due to COVID-19.
Cr Christian said more than 20 applications had been received, which is more than the number of positions available.
