EGLINTON are now just 90 minutes away from a maiden Bathurst District Football women's second grade title after defeating Abercrombie in the preliminary final 2-1 on Sunday.

Played at Proctor Park, it was Eglinton that opened the scoring in the first half via Lara Samuel before Abercrombie top goal scorer Anna Cartwright equalised for the minor premiers before half-time.
Eglinton had a goal disallowed for handball in the second half, before they found a free kick in a favourable position.

Kaitlyn Crook sent the ball in, with Lauren Clements winning the ball and putting it into the back of the net to give Eglinton a 2-1 lead which they never relinquished, meaning they'll play Bathurst '75 in the decider.
Eglinton coach Ian Crook said he's confident his side can overcome '75.
"The girls are confident. They beat them in a night game, so hopefully we can get a similar result," he said.
"It'll be a tough match but it would be a reward for our players that have made the move up from third grade last year."
Eglinton booked another grand final spot when its men's second grade team defeated 2-1 CSU FC in the preliminary final, meaning they'll now play Macquarie United in the grand final.
In women's third grade, Panorama Black defeated club rivals and minor premiers Panorama Red in a penalty shootout, going through to play Macquarie United White in the decider.
Panorama were forced to work for their grand final spot in men's third grade, after surviving a late scare from Lithgow City Rangers.
The Goats were looking the goods when they took a 2-0 lead, only for Rangers to claw it back to make it 2-all.
But just only minutes after the restart following Rangers' equaliser, Panorama found the winner and will now progress to play Bathurst Athletic in the grand final.
Collegians defeated Oberon to set up a date with Panorama in the men's fourth grade decider.
And Bathurst City Red Tops are through to the men's fifth grade decider after defeating Bathurst '75 on penalties, where they'll face Churches United.
