LISA Griffith sprints towards the boundary and makes a diving save to stop a four - it was that sort of performance which typified the Sydney Sixers' nine-run win over the Hobart Hurricanes on Saturday.

While Ashleigh Gardner's 53 from 35 balls was as highlight as the Sixers extended their unbeaten start to the Women's Big Bash League, the way the side in magenta performed in the field at North Sydney Oval was quality.
The Sixers finished at 6-149 after winning the toss and batting first, Bathurst talent Griffith making one run off the three deliveries she faced in the final over.
In defending that total the Sixers caught well, they cut off runs on the boundary, made diving stops in the inner circle and produced a run out.
While Griffith did not bowl, her work in the field was still important.
She showed a safe pair of hands to help dismiss Hobart opener Naomi Stalenberg (22-17) off the bowling of young talent Stella Campbell and made the save on the boundary in Ellyse Perry's second over.
The win moved the Sixers to the outright WBBL lead heading after six rounds.
