A SCOTFORD Place home has been extensively damaged after a fire, which began in the bedroom and then ripped through half the property.

Station Officer with Fire and Rescue NSW, Chris Sanders, said they received a Triple-0 call at around 8.15am.
He said upon arrival fire crews found the left hand side of the house was totally engulfed by the fire.
"Fire crews donned breathing apparatus, and entered the property with the hose through the front door.
"We had six fire fighters fighting the blaze, going in two at a time, with back up crews outside," he said.

In all 20 fire personal were on the ground, along with police and ambulance.
Officer Sanders said the female owner, who self evacuated after the smoke detectors went off, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
"Half the house is completely destroyed, the other half suffered smoke and fire damage."
He said said the fire started in the main bedroom.
"The owner was on the phone to her daughter when the smoke alarms went off, she went to investigate and heard crackling and could smell smoke inside the bedroom and left."
Officer Sanders said the fire was an accidental electrical fire. While the house suffered extensive damage, he said thankfully no-one was hurt.
"The house might be in a bad way, but everyone is okay."
He said his crews did a great job in stopping the fire from spreading to the rest of the house. "When we arrived the severity of the fire was right up there, but they had it under control in 20 minutes. The fire was extinguished in one hour."
EARLIER: Paramedics, police and fire crews remain at the scene of a house fire in Scotford Place, Windradyne.
Emergency crews received a Triple-0 call for help just after 8.15am.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said one crew responded to the call and remains at the scene.
The blaze was extinguished by fire crews, who were still pouring water into one of the rooms at 9am.
Extensive damage to at least one of the rooms is visible from the front of the house.
At this stage it is not known what caused the fire.
Units from Fire and Rescue NSW remain at the scene, along with police.
