HE shouldered a high workload in his freshman season for Regis University Rangers and in 2020-21 that doesn't look like changing for Bathurst's Will Cranston-Lown.

Cranston-Lown played the most minutes of any Ranger during last season, in which the team qualified for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament, and he's hoping to build upon his promising play in a fresh campaign.
Regis starts their campaign on Sunday morning Australian time away to the University of Denver.
It's certainly a different experience for Cranston-Lown in the United States this time around but he's getting used to all the changes, both on and off the court.
"The experience this year compared to last year is a lot different. Classes are all online, you don't see half the amount of people that you saw last year so your social life goes down, and masks is obviously a big one wearing them everywhere," he said.
"Training has been different this year too, we have to wear masks in order to practice. Our team is a lot different from last year as we are a lot smaller, therefore our game style will change from last year as we will be more of a run and gun team instead of slowing down our offence.
"I will be taking a bigger role this year, as our other play maker has left, leaving me with a bit more on my hands. I'm willing to take the new role as I have prepared myself since our season ended in March."
Regis didn't play UoC last season and the team have been busy doing their preparations.
"From our scouting report they are taller than us across the board so we expect them to try put themselves in mismatches with us all and try to post us up," Cranston-Lown said of their opponents.
Meanwhile, Bathurst's Matilda Flood got her first taste of match time for the Fordham University Rams in their 62-58 season opening win against Stony Brook.
