A number of confidential reports were considered, resulting in council awarding tenders.
Aaron Jones, the director of Corporate Services and Finance, said a number of the contractors were local.
A tender for the supply and delivery of roadbase material was awarded to Oberon Quarries and Hibbard Hire.
Hanson Australia, which has a facility in Gormans Hill, was awarded the tender for the supply and delivery of concrete.
While council can't disclose which companies were awarded the tenders for the hire of plant and for the hire of trucks/watercarts, historically those are awarded to local companies.
The other tender considered on the night was for the supply and delivery of water treatment chemicals, however no local companies submitted quotes.
Awarding tenders to local companies is another way council is helping to support businesses during the pandemic.
"Any avenue where council can support local business and contractors is a good one," Mr Jones said.
"Irrespective of COVID, they're fulfilling a need and a service that is a gap in council's service, so it's vital for our economic growth."
Council's support to businesses and the community as a whole during the pandemic can be seen in the items put forward in mayoral minutes throughout the year.
Many stimulus measures have come in the form of fee waivers, helping to take the pressure off businesses and groups.
