Now, in the same space of time in the new 2020-21 season, he's already achieved another special moment with the ball.
The St Pat's Old Boys Blue bowler has managed a pair of five wicket hauls over his first three games of the competition, helping the side maintain their unbeaten start.
When you include his three wicket haul in game two Maxwell already has 13 wickets to his name in 2020-21 - second in the competition only to City Colts' Brad Molenkamp after his stunning nine wicket game on Saturday.
Coincidentally, Maxwell's latest of his five wicket hauls on Saturday came against the same side he achieved his eight wicket game against: Bathurst City.
Maxwell will be in the nightmares of the Redbacks batsmen again after he and Brydon Slattery tore through the entire order to have City all out for 107.
Slattery finished with 5-24 from nine overs while Maxwell had 5-33 from 14.1 overs plus six maidens.
St Pat's Old Boys Blue teammate Brad Broes said the figures should come as no shock to anyone who has been around Maxwell for some time.
"I think if you're looking for someone with the biggest ticker in the team then that would definitely be Nath. He bowled 10 overs straight in his first spell so that's not a bad effort on a 34 degree day," he said.
"He's the kind of guy that no matter what you tell him to go out there and do he's going to do it. In his first year over here he was a bit shaky but now he's out there bowling yorker after yorker and cleaning people up."
Slattery's effort was impressive as well given his lack of preparation this season.
"Funnily enough that was Brydon's first bowl of the season and he hasn't been able to train in a while either, so that's a pretty good effort," he said.
"They both were great. They were either sucking everyone in or beating them with top notch deliveries."
Coming into this match St Pat's Old Boys Blue were yet to drop a game.
They're already on their way in this match too, already sitting at 2-69 in their pursuit of 107 heading into the second day this Saturday.
After losing their opening round game last season SPOB Blue went on to win their next six games on their way to the grand final.
They've starting 2020-21 at a similar level of dominance.
"It's been an interesting season for us so far because it's a different looking team, a lot younger," Broes said.
"There's been a few extra kids coming up from president's cup who are going alright. My opening partner Tom Siede got some runs to start the year and got the call up to first grade.
"Everyone else has been chipping in as well. The guy opening the bowling with him, Hayden Goodsell, his been taking wickets each game.
"It's a great young group with a couple of us older fellas in there."
In the other big news from second grade action this round St Pat's White have already beaten Bathurst Bushrangers outright, by an innings and 118 runs.
