THE final two rounds of the Bathurst Golf Club's Great Northern Club Championships were played on the weekend and it was a familiar face who won.

Now seven-time A-grade champion Reece Hodson who fired a 4 round total of 1 over par 285 to hold off the fast finishing Mike Stanford by 9 shots.
"I played some good golf over those last two rounds and I think having played in tournaments in the past in similar sort of conditions, all that practice comes into play," Hodson said. "The biggest difference compared to last weekend was maybe just that extra bit of practice."
Warren Matthews picked up his 2nd B-grade championship courtesy of 325 and a 4 shot buffer over the extremely talented Mark Nelson.
Matt Lester was proud as punch upon earning his maiden B1 championship thanks to a 345 total, his nearest rival being Rod Pollard on 349.
Matt Bennett was the tearaway C-grade winner after a fine 349 gave him a comfortable 15 shot win over the venerable John Rogers.
A three way tie at the top was Thursday's A-grade outcome after Dean Evans, Darrell Bourke and Tim White all had 39pts, in the end Evans was the victor on a countback. 2 under picked up the scratch for Reece Hodson.
A mighty 42pts from John Payne was all that was needed to win B-grade from Anthony Jarrett and Dave Chapman (40) while the scratch went to Chris Boardman with 25pts.
Manor Cooper was the standout lady as attested by her 40pts to hold off Kae Anderson (38) and Lousea Johnston (34)
Chapman and Mark Booth were the premiere combination in the 2BBB as attested by their 47pts for a single shot margin over Jarratt and Jeremy Baker. Darrell Bourke and David Lilly signed for the scratch on 40pts.
Congratulations to Bob Dillon who had a magnificent hole in one on the 8th.
