WITH another week of unsettled weather, the attendances for social bowls this week were still on average for those who put up with the rain.
As we get close to the Christmas break and the festive season kicks into gear, a reminder to all that are using the Majellan as a place for your celebrations that everyone who is attending the club must sign in prior to entering the club.
QR codes are situated outside the front door and also near the bar. There is also a computer for those to check in that do not have a mobile phone.
This week's results are as follows

Rink 11: Chris Woodyatt, Peter Ryan and Gordon Death dominated from the opening end against Terry Clark, Ian Warren and Ron McGarry.
Team Death led for the entire match and never looked threatened by Team McGarry who were unlucky on some of the ends. Team Death victorious 25-14.

Saturday bowls
WITH the clouds closing in and a short downpour 30 minutes prior to play, the decision to play was made late.
Even with drizzle continuing all games were completed in time and the following results were recorded.
Rink 10: A. Cooper, G. Maier and G. Fenton failed from the opening ends to be 4-1 down against Butch Stevens, Mick McDonald and Tiger Smith on the third end.
Team Fenton then started to turn things around and with progressing scoring ended up taking the match in an upset 14-12.
Rink 11: Phillipe Legall, Ted Parker and Lotza Koszta started on par against Des Sanders, Phil Burgess and Ian Warren.
However, Team Warren began to dominate the scoring holding Team Kotsza to single figures up to the 15th end, leading 22-7. Team Kotsza tried to fight back but being late in the game went down 23-14.
Rink 12: Jeff Adams, Max Elms and Tim Pickstone dominated early against Alan Clark, Ron McGarry and Hugh Brennan being 7-2 up by the 7th.

This wraps up the week at the Majellan Bowling Club, so until next week, be kind to each other, see you on the green and Stay Frosty.
Wednesday Social Bowls
Game one: Norm Hayes and Ian Shaw versus Albie Homer and John McDonagh. Norm and Ian had a good start with a six first off.
Albie and John countered with a five and a one to level. From there, Norm and Ian dropped only one end of the next eight to lead 17-10. They then won five of the next nine ends, including a couple of '5's to run out comfortable winners on 30-17.
Game two: Ian Cunningham and Bruce Rich versus Ron Cambey and Barry McPherson. Ian and Brucie started well, dropping only two ends of the first 12.
This gave them a handy lead of 18-5. Ron and Barry took the next three ends and the last three to finish up defeated on 21-13.
Game three: Bob Lindsay and Phil Murray versus Trevor Kellock and Robin Moone. Bob and Phil got away well with 5 ends and 11 shots in the first six.
They continued on their winning way, giving away only six more ends to Trevor and Robin and ending up with a 26-14 win.
Game four: Mick Sewell and Mick Bright against Denis Oxley and Paul Rodenhuis. Dennis and Paul got away early, getting up to 7-1.
But there they stayed for the next seven ends! The Two Micks were too good, leading 18-7 at the 12th end. The grey bowls lost their magic, and the Two Micks continued on their way to an easy win, 27-12.
Game five: Ray Noonan and John Fulton versus Geoff Thorne and Arthur Williams. Ray and John started with winning four of the first five ends, and eight shots to one.
Dropping two ends, they came back with the next six to take the score to 17-3. The ends went 4-all but the shots 10-6 in Geoff and Arthur's way, but the final result was 23-13 to Ray and John.
Game six: Jim Grives and Brian Burke versus Pat Duff and John Martin. This game was written up for 26 ends! Maybe they were having too much fun and didn't want to stop.
It was quite even, with the score equal at 14-all at the 14th end.
At 21 ends the score was 16-19 in Pat and John's favour. At the 24th end it was 21-20 in Jim's favour, 25th end was killed and at the 26th end 22-21 for Jim and Brian I think!
Saturday Socials.
SHOWERS throughout the afternoon disrupted play and stopped some games.
Game one: Alex Birkens and Jim Grives vs John Finlay and Barry McPherson. Alex and Jim had a 5-2 lead at the fifth end, but John and Barry took the next five ends and nine shots.
That was the end of their scoring as Alex and Jim took the next six ends and 11 shots to bring the score up to 16-9 at the 16th end when "Rain stopped play".
Game two: Luke Dobbie and Ron Cambey versus Hans Hummelshoj and Ian Shaw. Dropping the second end, Luke and Ron won eight of the first nine ends and scored 18 shots to one.
Hans and Ian then strung the next five ends together to bring the score up to 11-18.
But from there Luke and Ron kept the lead to the end, finishing at 27-15.
Game three: Denis Harvey and John Fulton versus Paul Reece and Trevor Kellock. At the eleventh end, Paul and Trevor had won eight ends and 17 shots to four.
It was then Dennis and John's turn to score, and they did, taking the next six ends and 17 shots. A two in the last end for Paul and Trevor closed out the game in Dennis and John's favour - 22-19.
Game four: Ian Schofield and Gary Hotham versus Mick and Susie Simmons. Mick and Susie started well, having won nine shots in the first four ends.
But there they stayed for the rest of the game while Scoey and Gary piled on 18 shots. The final score after sixteen ends: 19-9. Again, "Rain stopped play".
Game five: Bryan Bromfield and Arch Ledger versus Bob Lindsay and Arthur Williams. Bob and Arthur held a pretty handy lead, 13-7 at the fourteenth end but a three' and a four put Bryan and Arch a shot in front.
An equaliser from Bob and Arthur was trumped by two from Bryan and Arch before "rain stopped play" at 16-14.
Game six: Mick Sewell and Brian Burke vs Ray Noonan and Phil Murray. The card shows Mick and Brian winning 25-19 after 26 ends.
After 21 ends Mick had 21 to Ray's 16. It was fairly close throughout the game with the difference never more than four until the last few ends.
Game seven: Stormin' Norman Hayes and Bruce Rich vs Denis Oxley and Paul Rodenhuis. Norm continued on his winning way with another win in this game of three Bowl Pairs.
The game was close to start with, 4-all on the 5th and 8-all on the 10th end. However, that's where Dennis and Paul were stuck for the next eight ends!
Meanwhile Norm and Bruce piled on the shots, finishing the winners on 25-10.
Bathurst Real Estate Juniors.
FLYNN and Nolan again threw out the Challenge to the coach and Nolan's Grandfather. A little different format saw the juniors play two bowls to the oldies one.
Nolan and Flynn lost the first two ends but came back strongly to level the scores at 6-all after the eight ends finished.
