The Bathurst Goldminers graduate netted a career-high 18 points for the Regis Rangers as they won their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season opener.
Cranston-Lown is currently in his second season - or sophomore year - with the American NCAA Division II team.
Last season he was the only player on the Rangers' roster to start in all 29 games, the talented guard scoring 97 field goals.
It was that record which earned Cranston-Lown his 'impact player' status and on Saturday he reaffirmed it with his performance in the Rangers' 90-52 win over South Dakota Mines.
"Will Cranston-Lown had a record breaking night as the sophomore guard set a career-high, scoring 18 points, besting his previous high of 16 points," Regis said in the match report.
"Cranston-Lown was also able to feed his team-mates efficiently in the win as he garnered a team-high six assists."
His first basket came around three minutes into the first quarter thanks to a nice lay up and 12 seconds later he had another after a fast break to put the Rangers up by 10 points.
Cranston-Lown ended up hitting eight of his 13 attempts from the field and two of three from the stripe.
