Moxon took 7-25 off 13 overs in a scintillating spell with the ball, taking care of opening batsmen Mac Webster (who top scored for Kinross with 30) and Charlie Tink (nine), before he dismissed Tom Kiss (eight), Luke Hunter (seven), Dudley Shepherd (two), Jonothan Rasmussen (six) and Charlie Condon (three).
The rest of the Redbacks wickets were taken by Joey Coughlan (2-31) and Cooper Warry (1-13).
And while no one scored an impress total with the bat, Redbacks caught Kinross in just 35 overs, with some six wickets to spare.
Tom Lynch had the highest score with 28 runs, while Mark Day is not out with 25.
No doubt Redbacks will be chasing an outright win next Saturday, to keep their faint chances of finals alive.
CYMS (245) leads CENTRALS (1-21) by 224 runs
Centrals bowler Edward Dodds did his best to restrict CYMS on Saturday, but the green and golds still posted a healthy score on day one of the seventh round match at Bloomfield Oval.
Dodds finished the day with a massive haul of seven wickets, but CYMS are still in a strong position to claim a first innings win, posting a score of 245, leaving Centrals chasing at 1-21.
Dave Neil had the best knock of any of the openers or top order with 45 before lower order batsman Jack Cale came in at 10 to score the highest score of the match with 61.
Centrals managed just 12 overs with the bat before stumps, with Max Powell the only wicket to fall, out for a duck.
When play resumes next Saturday, Kurt Gander (four) and Brenton Anthony (14) remain in for the chasers.
RUGBY UNION (367) leads CAVALIERS (yet to bat) by 367 runs
Rugby Union has put itself in a good position to deal Cavaliers with its first loss of the 2019-20 season, after posting a massive score on Saturday afternoon at Wade Park.
The Bulldogs posted a score of 367 after almost 80 overs, which makes for the highest score in one innings this season and that's even without Jameel Qureshi batting.
Top order batsmen Sam Macpherson (76), skipper Ryan Peacock (66) and Brad Glasson (52) all scored half centuries, on a day when barely any of the Bulldogs batting order disappointed.
The challenge ahead for Rugby Union will be dismissing the Cavaliers batting order on the second day of play next Saturday.
Cavaliers haven't lost a game outside the finals since it was defeated by St Pat's Old Boys in the opening round of the 2019-20 Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket season, so no doubt the Orange-based club won't want to lose that record anytime soon.
ST PAT'S OLD BOYS (7-255) leads CITY COLTS (yet to bat) by 255 runs)
In a clash of the two in-form Bathurst teams, St Pat's Old Boys batsman Connor Slattery scored a century to put his side in a good position heading into day two.
Saints finished the day at 7-255 after 82 overs, with Slattery's century the main highlight, although opener Bailey Brien scored a strong 75.
Wayne Sellers did his best to restrict the Saints, taking five wickets, but Colts weren't able to completely dismiss Saints.
Like ladder leaders Cavaliers, Saints are also yet to taste defeat this season and leading by 255 runs heading into day two, they're in a good position to avoid a loss once again.
However, Colts are no strangers to putting on big scores and considering they put on 330 in one innings two rounds ago, so there's still plenty of work left for Saints if they want to claim victory.
ORANGE CITY (7-259 dec) leads CENTENNIALS BULLS (2-20) by 239 runs
A century from Ben Schofield has helped guide Orange City to a healthy lead after the first day of action against Centennials Bulls.
Things were looking good for Bulls when Kyle Aubin dismissed Blake Weymouth on the very first ball of the match and when Kurt Toole had Lachie Coyte out for two, the Warriors were in trouble at 2-7.
In came Schofield at four, to bat alongside David Boundy, and he helped steer his side out of trouble.
Boundy was eventually out for 51 and by the time Schofield was dismissed, Orange City were looking the goods at 5-234.
The Warriors eventually declared at 7-259 after 70 overs and they got to work early on Bulls' opening bats, with Peter McCleary run out for nine and Ethan Muller caught behind for eight.
When play resumes next Saturday, Nathan Maher (zero) and Mick Hutchinson (three) will be in for Bulls.
