Bathurst MP Paul Toole and mayor Bobby Bourke recently attended a special ceremony at the guides hall in Charlotte Street.
They both heaped praise on the ladies for their many decades of involvement in the Bathurst community.
With the ongoing easing of COVID-19 restrictions over recent weeks, local Girl Guides are now getting back to some sort of normality and enjoying getting back together again.

Mr Toole said Betty Wardman (55 years), Lesley Buchan (55 years), Luisa McDiarmid (20 years), Gaylene Anderson (10 years) and Tracy Nankervis (five years) enjoyed the accolades they received at their special day.
"Special mention must go to the retiring Betty Wardman whose contribution to the Girl Guides movement over a lifetjme has been inspiring for so many people," he said.
"The dedication and commitment made by these leaders is an example of what makes the Bathurst community so strong."
Girl Guides offers girls aged 5-17 a safe, welcoming space to try a variety of activities aimed at creating confident young women.
The Bathurst District Girl Guides currently has around 40 members.
