Prior to the club investing in the new system, times had to be manually recorded but the new system is able to upload times automatically to a computer.
Bathurst Little Athletics equipment manager Kelsey Borgstahl said athletes can now access their times quicker.

"Asides from being more accurate then hand timing, it gives them more access to their times," he said.
"Rather conferring with three or four different hand timers and jotting them down, it's all done by marshalling, making it a lot quicker and being more accurate.
"Their times are pretty much instant. Because this is set up in a cloud environment, it's all linked to ResultsHQ, which is an online program where all the athletes can on and look at their times."
Times are recorded through scanning technology that has been built into nine portable poles.
All up, the new timing system can accommodate all individuals in an eight-runner field.
The new timing system is one of a number of new investments made by the club to its members.
"We had money in the bank and we did apply for grants to assist us with this but realistically we need to invest that money back into the athletes," Borgstahl said.
"They're our members, so there's no point sitting on it. We've started to increase our gear that we can present them, getting new shot puts, new discus.
"We're trying to give them the best quality gear to give them the best chances to compete.
"[The new timing system] is our biggest item, which will allow for much more accurate timing, within both our club nights and going forward. If we can get an IAAF standard track, we will be able to hold bigger carnivals within the town and regional zone carnivals for both school levels and Athletics Australia level."
Sourcing a new timing system has been a priority for Bathurst Little Athletics for some time.
"It was basically brought up at the end of last season and so we started looking at different systems," Borgstahl explained.
"It's a lot quicker for our results manager, because they just have to confirm it rather then manually inputting it.
"It's been a 12 month period looking at different systems and we even went to other centres to see what they had and how they were using it. It wasn't taken lightly, as it's a pretty big invest for a fairly small club."
