After returning from a stint in Victoria, Turnbull's achieved victories at her home track, record-breaking efforts in Parkes, and a Cherry Cup win at Young while on Friday night it was Dubbo Paceway's turn to host the Turnbull show.
The leading trainer-driver took home three of the night's features - the Group 3 Red Ochre, the Little Red Jug, and the Quamby Stayers Cup - while she also drove the winner of the Club Dubbo Golden Gig final for trainer Mathew McCarthy.
Each of the wins was impressive but in the Quamby Stayers Cup (2525m) Turnbull combined with the rapidly-improving Shoobee Doo to outgun a field including dual Group 1 winner Our Uncle Sam.
It appeared the Chris Frisby-trained star was going to be locked in a ding-dong battle with Shoobee Doo down the straight but he faded late on while Turnbull's hope went on to win by 8.8m.
"Our Uncle Sam being first-up from a spell probably helped a bit, he lacked a little fitness," Turnbull said after the win.
"But he [Shoobee Doo] has been racing really well and he thrives on the long distances as well.
"He's always been a nice horse but he's going well this time in."
Shoobee Doo had won the Cherry Cup last month while he headed to Dubbo having run fourth in the Group 3 Christmas Gift Final at Menangle last time out.
He firmed in late to a $3 chance while Our Uncle Sam sat as the $1.70 favourite.
After some early lead changes it was Anthony Frisby who made the move with the favourite as they passed the post for the first time, skirting around the field from deep in search of the lead.
But Turnbull urged Shoobee Doo, who had been sitting third, on as Frisby loomed and pushed forward before moving across and finding the lead and the pegs.
Our Uncle Sam and Kanena Provlima ($12) remained in range and stayed that way as they received the bell.
But as the turn for home approached and it seemed it would be a cracking finish Turnbull got Shoobee Doo to kick clear and Our Uncle Sam, having had just the two trials after a Queensland campaign finished in October, couldn't go with him.
Shoobee Doo went on to win in a mile rate of 1:58:5 while Steve Turnbull-trained horses filled the minors with Firestorm Red ($11) and Maximus Red ($41) both finishing well.
"It's an awesome night," Amanda Turnbull said of her haul.
"I had a nice team in Shepparton and brought a few back so it helps when you've got nice horses behind you."
