The greyhound industry has been subjected to allegations of illegal and cruel practices for as long as I can remember.
As I child, I remember my father telling me of the 'blooding of greyhounds' with live animals.
Although there have been improvements over recent years, there have been allegations that some involved in the industry are not complying with current regulations.
Even so, forcing these dogs to train and run in races is cruel.
Several other countries have banned greyhound racing, and it is now time for NSW to also ban this industry.
