Hodges has made the jump across to the Giant Racing Team for the new season of racing, ending his run with Oliver's Real Food Racing.
The Cowra native was officially announced as a new signing by Giant Racing Team just before the new year, and he brings a brilliant resume of wins to the squad.
His highlights include a Grafton to Inverell triumph as well as a fourth in the Melbourne to Warrnambool.
The Festival Of Cycling will feature four stages across South Australia, giving fans across the country a chance to still witness a high level of racing in place of the Tour Down Under.
Regular Bathurst Cycling Club rider Tom Bolton will also be in action at the tour, maintaining his role with the Oliver's team.
The 106.5 kilometre opening stage runs from Seppeltsfield to Tanunda.
