Hewitt headed into Wednesday night's Bathurst Harness Racing Club meeting having won all but two of his seven drives for the new season and his success continued.
He landed a double for the meeting, guiding the Aaron Williams trained Shes Koala Tee ($4.40) to a commanding 11.1m success then getting the job done for his father Bernie Hewitt aboard No Nay Never, the $2.70 favourite getting home by a neck.
It was No Nay Never's first win since May 3 last year, while the 1:55.4 winning mile rate of Shes Koala Tee was the best in the mare's career. It was also the first time Hewitt had driven Williams' four-year-old mare.

It is an effort which has him currently sitting eighth in the New South Wales driving premiership, though all those ranked above him have had at least double the amount of races.
Hewitt's 63 percent winning strike rate is easily the best of any driver currently sitting in the top 10.
