Last year, the service station raised $2500 from their Australia Day barbecue to support the Perthville/Georges Plains Rural Fire Service.
And this year, the service station has decided to put to proceeds towards Perthville Public School to assist in the purchase of a a water cooling system.
"We're hoping to raise around $4500 on the day, which is the estimated cost of the water cooling system," Metro Perthville owner Sri Rangineni said.
"Last year's barbecue brought the entire community together, and all the proceeds from hot food sales will go towards the school."
Mr Rangineni said Perthville Public School plays a vital role in the local community, and would like to make the barbecue a regular event on Australia Day.
"There's so many local organisations we feel could benefit from this in the future, and the Perthville community has always been very supportive," he said.
"The barbecue will run for most of the day, so we hope a lot of people come down to grab a feed."
The barbecue will run from 9am to 4pm on Australia Day.
