And no rival had an answer for him.
Speak With Sam ($1.33 favourite, Phoebe Betts) led the entire trip in the Orange City Council Maiden Heat (1,730 metres) as he made it back-to-back wins following his effort at the same track on Wednesday night.
The Josh Turnbull-trained winner, and the rest of the runners at the meeting, had originally been planning to make a trip out to Orange's Towac Park but Saturday's deluge meant the fields would be giving Bathurst Paceway a visit instead.
Speak With Sam flew away from Tequila Tequila ($14, Mitch Turnbull) in the run for home while Jilliby Gypsy ($61, Graham Betts) defied her big odds to run third.
Phoebe Betts made her second drive on Speak With Sam in Sunday's race - her first time back in the gig since she drove him for a second place on debut back last month.
Betts said in the three races between that initial drive the Artspeak gelding has shown plenty of improvement.
"He went really good on Wednesday night and ran a slick time so he deserved to be favourite for this one," she said.

"He's come a long way already. He's learned to race a lot better than that first start. He was a bit silly and did a few things wrong on the day but he was 100 per cent today."
The start played out as expected, with the fast-beginning Tequila Tequila putting in some big early strides.
However, Speak With Sam came across from gate six easily to relegate Mitch Turnbull's runner back to second.
Jerulas Warrior worked her way around Darabont to take up the death seat.
Speak With Sam managed to find back-to-back quarters of 31 to complete a comfortable opening half without being pressured by the rest of the field.
The danger signs were there on the turn for home when Speak With Sam gained a small break on the field without Betts having to put in much effort from the driver's seat.
Tequila Tequila stayed in the leader's proximity but continued to lose touch with every stride towards the finish.
Speak With Sam ended up taking out the race by 10.5m in a 1:58.5 mile rate.
Jilliby Gypsy was another seven metres away.
Betts said the race played perfectly into her hands.
"I just wanted to get to the front and not do too much work to get there. He ended up doing that easily, and after that I just wanted to give him an easy first half," she said.
"I knew he'd be pretty hard to beat after that.
"I knew the one on my back was travelling pretty good down the back and I thought that if I could kick a bit around the turn then I could probably lose her, and that's what happened.
"It was a good run today and with a good barrier draw I think he's going to be hard to beat in the final."
The good run for Josh Turnbull continued at in the next race when thee-year-old filly Linx Downs won her heat.
