The occupant of the vehicle was out and uninjured, so officers from Fire and Rescue NSW Kelso station began work clearing the incident.
They cleared one lane using only handsaws until the arrival of crews from the NSW Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service, who utilised chainsaws to complete the removal and clear the road entirely.
With the car removed, lanes reopened and traffic flowing, Kelso officers handed the scene to the RFS. NSW Police were also in attendance, controlling the road closure while the removal was underway.
