The funding recognises and rewards the contribution the Lions Club and it's generous members makes to Bathurst local community made by members of the Lions Club of Bathurst.
Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole, awarded the club a CBP grant of $6750 which allowed the club to install solar panels at the club's headquarters in Short Street.
Mr Toole said it was an ideal use for the funding.
"Community Building Partnership grants such as this for the Lions Club of Bathurst are all about helping local organisations with their infrastructure projects," he said.

"They are aimed at initiatives that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes while also promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion."
Treasurer for the Bathurst Lions Club, Mal Purves, said the funding news was great and that the solar panels were now up and running.
"We had the panels installed in late December and they were switched on in mid January," he said.
"It means a substantial cost saving on energy bills for the club and we estimate it will result in a saving of about a thousand dollars every year.
"That's money the club can then put back into the community, so it's a win, win situation for everyone."
The Bathurst Lions Club is hoping to be successful in the next round of funding to help replace their fridges and freezers on site.
