The trainer watched on in joy at Kennerson Park on Monday as White Boots finally broke her maiden in her 25th career start, taking out the GBOTA Welcome Maiden (307 metres).
Prior to her win on Monday White Boots had claimed three runner-up finishes and three thirds but had always missed out on that top step of the podium.
The small Fernando Bale bitch would often be bounced out of her races if she didn't get off to the best start, but thanks to her great first sectional in her most recent start she avoided any such trouble.
She got out strongly and went toe-to-toe with Mrs Brown ($5.50, Tania Trappett) over the back straight.
Ritza Runner threatened to chase down the pair along the rail but got squeezed out of the fight on the turn.
White Boots pulled clear of her challenger midway through the turn and found a winning margin.
Our Sooky ($31, Cliff Rushworth) chased down Mrs Brown for second.
Tyquin said it was a welcome sight to she his bitch avoid getting knocked around in the opening stages.
"I knew if I brought her back often enough the penny would drop at some point. This was her day," he said.
"She's always been around the placings here. I'm very been happy with her. She even ran a beautiful time today too, an 18.03, which is great.
"She'll only ever be a sprinter with her short legs. She's not very heavy, only 23 kilos, and when she gets bumped she tends to back off because she's so light."
All three of White Boots' previous runner-up finishes had come at Kennerson Park, all within a one month window across December and January.
Her winning margin in Monday's breakthrough success was two metres.
