Picnic in the Parade
Bathurst Regional Council will be hosting a special picnic at Kings Parade on Russell Street on Friday, February 26, which will feature live music, markets, and on-stage appearances from Supercars drivers.
There'll also be a chance for someone to win a helicopter ride over Mount Panorama.
For more information visit www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au.
National Motor Racing Museum
While track closures will be in place at Mount Panorama this week for the Bathurst 500, the National Motor Racing Museum will still be open, but access will be via Ray Bant Drive.
There's plenty to see and do at the museum, including learning the origins of motor racing in Bathurst since 1914 from the first Australian Grand Prix and the Vale circuit, through to present day supercar and GT car racing.
There's over 100 racing cars and motorcycles, along with numerous small objects and ephemera that tell the story of motor racing in Australia.
A constantly changing selection of exhibits on loan ensures that there is always something new to see.
