Regardless of the for and against of the issue, what stood out to me in this article was the fact that our MLC Sam Farraway said "he was not even in the House when the matter came up".
Sorry, but I expect my representative to be 'at work' when the Upper House is sitting.
Is this usual? If so, how can anyone vote with knowledge and understanding about an issue if not at least listening to the debate?
