He'll be checking he actually is awake and not still dreaming.
The 19-year-old is living out one of his motor sport dreams as he will be on the grid at Bathurst as part of the Super2 Series.
On top of that, he will be driving a Holden Commodore VF for the powerhouse Triple Eight team and is mentored by one of his idols in Craig Lowndes.
"Every day I wake up and have to make sure I'm not dreaming still because racing for Triple Eight is definitely a dream come true, I always watched them race when I was a kid with Lowndesy, so being able to drive for them is an incredible feeling," he said.
"To have my hero mentor me - I know that's extremely rare for anyone one, so that's just incredible.
"I can only hope and dream to be as good as Craig once was - well still is - so I'll just try my best and see where it takes me."
While Mouzouris has followed in the footsteps of Lowndes in that he too is a former Australian Formula Ford champion - he won the 2019 series - he has something in common with three-time Supercars champion Scott McLaughin as well.
Just as McLaughlin was once a fabricator for Garry Rogers Motorsport, Mouzouris is now doing that for Triple Eight.
"I worked in the storeroom last year sending customer parts out to other teams, so I learned that part of the business and how it works and now I'm working in the fabrication department putting parts together for the race cars and learning that side of the business," he said.
"That's definitely a positive in learning how fast a car can go and it's limits. Having a better understanding of what a car is capable of is always a bonus in racing. Everyone does what they can to be the best, so I'm trying to do everything I can to make sure I'm one of the best."
This season will be Mouzouris' second in the Super2 Series, but last year he only got to contest three rounds due to COVID-19.
However, one of them was at Bathurst where he placed seventh in race one before crashing out at The Dipper when qualifying for the second race.
"It's my first time back in a Supercar at a track I've already been to, I never got that opportunity last year, so it's going to be super cool this weekend to bring my learnings of last year into it," he said. "You learn from your mistakes and it's going to be a good year this year because of it."
There will be two Super2 races this weekend.
