Should I be offended? Yes, I am offended by the time-wasting squabbling that goes on between our elected councillors on the trivial issue of who is offending whom.
Surely there are more important issues to tackle in order to serve the rate-paying residents of Bathurst who finance this childish behaviour. (My opinion. No offence intended.)
Offence, more often than not, is taken rather than given.

Having said that, I take offence at the suggestion that a police officer may have a conflict of interest by serving as an elected councillor (Western Advocate, February 19.)
What next? A member of a political party may be considered to have a conflict of interest by serving as an elected councillor? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
This issue has helped me decide which councillors to vote for at the next election.
I like people who call out nonsense and then stand firm in defending their position without fear or favour.
