Hosted by the ever-so-sharp-witted Rusty Nails [Kate Smith], the cabaret will include guest performances by musicians Gabbi Bolt, Michelle Griffin and The Mats, circus duo The Nickles, slam poet Tiph Harris, the Cabaret band and a 'drag king'.
Dr Smith said the cabaret will adopt a theme very close to Rusty Nails' heart: unsolicited advice.
"We've all had an experience in our daily lives where we've received some unsolicited advice and on the night, Rusty will be on hand to help people solve problems on the spot," she said.
"The line-up is fantastic, and we're all looking forward to what is sure to be an entertaining evening."
Cabaret Kite has been presented in association with BMEC Local Stages for 12 years, and creative producer Kylie Shead said the venue can't wait to return the event to the City Hall stage with a live audience.
The event provides opportunities for a variety of local [and guest] performers to show audiences their work," Ms Shead said.
The event will get under way from 8pm. For tickets, visit the BMEC website.
