Played across two days, St Pat's went into the match against City Colts finishing the regular season in second, so a draw or a washout from rain would be enough to qualify for the decider.
And while the weather wasn't great, the rain stayed away and with St Pat's winning the toss and electing to bat first, they posted a strong score of 200 thanks partly to a half-century from George Doueihi (55 runs).

Colts bowler Brad Molenkamp did his best to ease the damage, taking five wickets including the valuable one of Doueihi.
Colts would ultimately struggle with the bat, with Molenkamp (39 runs) and Angus Rendall (16 runs) the only batsmen to hit double-figure scores as the team was eventually dismissed for a total of 93.
Bailey Webber would claim a five-wicket haul for St Pat's.
St Pat's will now face minor premiers ORC in the grand final, the Tigers booking their spot in the decider after the major semi-final between the two was washed-out and ORC advancing due to being the higher ranked team.
The decider will be played at Morse Park 1 across Saturday and Sunday.
THIRD GRADE
ORC has rallied from third place on the ladder to book a grand final spot against Rugby Union this weekend.
Playing the second-placed Bathurst City in the preliminary final on the weekend at Police Paddock 1, the Tigers won the toss and sent Redbacks into bat.
Bathurst City would hit a total of 7-124 off 35 overs, with Aaron Outten hitting 55 with the bat.
But the score wasn't enough, with ORC chasing down Redbacks in 29 overs, with one wicket to spare.
PRESIDENTS CUP
It's an all St Pat's Old Boys grand final in presidents cup, after the club's Gold team defeated Centennials Bulls in the preliminary final at Morse Park 1 on the weekend.
Gold will now clash with White in the grand final this weekend at Morse Park 1.
White finished the presidents cup regular season as undefeated minor premiers.
