With wet conditions across the east coast of the state, six matches were cancelled, however, Cosgrove's match for the Penrith Panthers away to the Victoria Thunderbolts was able to get underway because the condition of the field was fine at Casey Fields in Melbourne.
Cosgrove managed to cross the try-line once for Panthers in their 32-22 win.

"It was sunny and windy, but thankfully no rain," he said.
"I scored early with some build up play, running it in under the posts.
"We started well and that's what our coach wanted us to do, to get away to a good start. We started well but we let them in at the end."
The Panthers got away to the best possible start in Victoria, scoring twice in the opening five minutes, with the St Pat's junior scoring the second try of the match.
After establishing a 12-0 lead early, the Thunderbolts pulled one back through Zacharius Fuimaono, but two quick tries from Penrith had the visitors up 22-6 at half-time.
The Thunderbolts struck first in the second-half through Jethro Tavu'l-Leota, but two quick tries from Penrith lock Lachlan Blackburn and centre Sione Neiufi pulled the lead out to 32-16.
Sualauvi Faalogo scored late to pulled it back to 32-22 for the Thunderbolts.
The result was Penrith's third win of the season and pushes they up to seventh on the ladder, however, they are one game ahead of the two teams behind them.
