A proposed tunnel under part of the Blue Mountains to bypass Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mount Victoria doesn't solve the congestion points along the rest of the Mountains crossing.

The real solution is a tunnel from Lapstone to the bottom of Mount Vic. This would take 40 kilometres off the journey and half the time.
If we really want to develop the western side of the Blue Mountains, provide a release valve to Sydney's expansion and alleviate the congestion across the Mountains, a nation-building infrastructure project is required.
