Students got to wear orange clothes to school, make art and enjoy orange coloured foods as part of the celebrations.
The colour orange is chosen to represent harmony as it traditionally signifies social communication and meaningful conversation.
As part of the Harmony Day celebrations, students Udrina Jerga-Zohar and Sangkamitra Karunakaran spoke to the school body at assembly about what Harmony Day is all about.
The pair spoke about the all the different cultural backgrounds Australian's have.
"Everyone has different backgrounds and all these different cultures that come together in Australia bring many things with them... different foods, ways of dressing, languages, customs and beliefs.
"Harmony Day is about celebrating these differences and learning new cultures.
"To live peacefully and happily in Australia, we have to make sure everyone feels equal. It does not matter how different we are, we should always treat others with fairness and respect.
"Some people might look or dress differently from you. Try and learn about other people's cultures and customs, remember differences are not a bad thing. They make us unique and special," they said.
