Turnbull was booked for a host of drives on finals night at the Bathurst Paceway, many of them rated as contenders, but it took until the last race on the program for her to steer one home in first.
She began with a second in the Gold Bracelet Gold Consolation aboard $1.70 favourite Blaze Coops, then followed than with a third steering Ideal Dan in the Gold Chalice Gold Consolation.
A runner from her own team Chasing The Wind, with Isobel Ross in the gig, then grabbed second in the Honouree Stakes Final as a $71 outsider.
Drives in two Group 1 finals followed for Turnbull and once again she was the runner-up with Joanna second in the Gold Bracelet and Captains Queen second in the Gold Tiara.
But finally, in race 10 the Gold Tiara Gold Consolation (1,730 metres), Turnbull drove Pas De Cheval ($3.30 favourite) to victory.
Turnbull had guided the filly, trained at The Lagoon by her father Steve, three wide through the final bend and on balancing at the top of the home straight, only Lady Delight was ahead of her.
Lady Delight then galloped and Pas De Cheval went on to clinch a 3.7m win - the first of the filly's first career.
As for Turnbull, it was her ninth victory for the carnival overall and added to her eight runners-up and another two drives end in a third placing, making her the most successful driver across the carnival.
"I had great night, I just couldn't get one until then," she said.
While Turnbull joked that Pas De Cheval has "horrible" manners, she said the A Rocknroll Dance x Then We Dance filly does have the makings of a nice race horse.
That is good news for her owners, who have been impacted by the recent flood.
"She's good to drive, once you're out there she's awesome to drive," she said.
"Her race manners are the best thing about her, so she'll keep learning and I think she'll go alright. She loves racing.
"They've [owners] probably had a rough week with the floods and they are good owners for Dad is it's great to get one for them. They are based at Taree, they are dairy farmers too and would have had to move the cows, so like it's been pretty hectic for them."
