Even though the weekend's Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket grand final against Orange City didn't go his team's way that squad depth once again rang true.
Hamish Siegert (46) and Josh Wilcox (45) each finished with their biggest scores of their respective seasons as they helped the Saints recovery from a dreary start of 4-38.
Cooper Brien (29) and Derryn Clayton (24) ensured Pat's would at least put on a competitive total.
Every Pat's bowler claimed at least one wicket.

Ryan said even in defeat it's a great sign to see different players seizing their moment.
"We're a very well rounded side and I like the fact that every game there will be someone else to put their hand up and do something," he said.
"Hamish and Josh were amazing yesterday. Cooper did a great job as well, as did Derryn towards the end there. Those are guys who haven't done a whole tonne of batting through the season so for them to come out and do it on the big stage was fantastic.
"Then with the ball every time we needed someone else to stand up they did, like Angus [Parsons] coming in today to break the shackles early. I can't fault the effort of our guys, it was a great game."
