As very approachable and ever-pleasant volunteers at the kiosk in the facility, we are often told of the difficulties that members of the public, the elderly, mothers with young children and babies and those recovering from operations and injuries face when coming to the hospital for appointments, visits, etc.
Volunteers also have great difficulty in finding a parking spot after about 9.30am.

Everyone is aware of the very nice Victoria Park adjacent to the hospital.
We have been told that it cannot be used for parking under any circumstances.
Things like an increase in population and increase in number of cars surely must have some sway towards parking being allowed in some areas of the park.
Would two or so rows for parking on the Mitre Street end be so intrusive? This same parking area would be empty all weekend as it would be surplus to requirements then.
Someone must have the authority and drive to improve this vexing situation and help make already stressful visits to our health facility at least a bit less daunting.
