This year's Bathurst 6 Hour will run from Friday to Sunday, with the main race to get underway on Sunday at 11.15am.
Cr Bourke is hoping for another successful motor sport event at Mount Panorama this weekend, the second major motor racing event at the track after the Bathurst 500 in February.

"It's really good to have the 6 Hour event," he said.
"It's our second event this year coming up [after the Bathurst 500]. It's a great lineup, a full grid, some local drivers. You couldn't ask for anything better."
Cr Bourke believes the Bathurst 6 Hour will provide a strong financial "injection" into the local economy.
"It'll be a big injection. Camping is allowed back up at the Mount and people are getting out and around a lot easier now," he said.
"Anything we put on the weekend - especially at Easter - will be good. It's not like the old days when we had the bikes here and it was packed. We've got use to that with the COVID-19 and restrictions.
"Motor sport will survive and it will survive on an iconic track we have here at Mount Panorama.
"We're lucky we're in NSW and not in Queensland because of the troubles they're having up there. We want all our events to be successful and I think this one will be.
"Council works really hard with ARG. We've got some good sponsors and we're going to make it a great weekend this weekend."
Crowds will not be as heavily capped as they were for last year's Bathurst 1000 and February's Bathurst 500 event, something Cr Bourke is excited to see.
"They didn't like sitting on white chairs and we've got rid of them in the paddock but this event is a growing event and I'm looking forward to it," he said.
"Working with these people is really easy and we're going to find out this weekend how good it is."
