Played at Tony Luchetti Sportsground, Western was comfortable in its win over its Sydney opposition, claiming a comfortable 5-2 victory.
Steven Long scored two goals for the host, with Damien Curran, Matt Hobby and Ashton Arnott-Webb also getting on the score sheet. Matt Beattie was named the players' player for the match.

It was the club's first competitive win of the 2021 season, having lost all three of its NPL NSW 4 matches this year, scoring three goals and conceding 11 goals in the process.
Western's opposition Gladesville had defeated Orange's Western Premier League team Barnstoneworth United to progress to the third round.
Western will have to wait to find out who they play in the fourth round now, with a draw to be held later this month.
