Germech was named in the 14-player quad that will contest the Under 19s AFL Women's National Championships next week, a team that is made up of the best talent from AFL NSW/ACT, Northern Territory and Tasmania.
Germech, who was named the Central West AFL youth girls best and fairest in 2019, said she was excited to be picked in the team.
"I don't think I've ever been so excited in my entire life," she said.

"There were lots of phone calls to make. I had to keep it a secret for a couple of days from the public because no one could know. Everyone I wanted to tell, it's just so exciting. I can't contain it.
"I didn't want to get my hopes up but there were up. It was just really exciting to get picked."
Germech, who now calls Canberra home, was one of six Bathurst talents named in the inaugural Greater Western Sydney Giants Academy late last year.
She'll be up against teams from South Australia, Western Australia and one each from Victoria (a metro and a country team).
To be selected in the team Germech had to play in a number of matches for the Giants Academy, playing against the Sydney Swans and Murray Bushrangers academies.
"I'm in the Giants academy and I had to play a couple of games against the Swans academy and the Bushrangers academy in Albury. We got picked from those games," she said.
"The first and last games were not too bad, but the middle wasn't so good because my team was so good I didn't really get the ball because I'm a back.
"The ball was up the forward line the whole time. But obviously I did well enough in the end."
It's an incredible rise for a player who's now into her fourth year of playing.
"One of my friends was like, 'You're coming to play. You've played netball now come play footy'," she explained.
"I was a little bit nervous at the start but I've always loved the contact side of sport. Kicking was new. That took me a while to get use to but it just sort of clicked eventually and I fell in love with it."
Germech, who plays at centre half-back, said her decision to move to Canberra in her first year out of school was a football-based one, with the country's capital one of three locations that the GWS Female Academy is based at, with western Sydney and southern NSW the other two.
After such a rapid rise, Germech is not keen to just rest on her laurels, as she's keen to crack into the VFL Women's or AFL Women's one day.
"The VFL would be nice and then the AFL," she said.
"I'm in first grade in Canberra and there's not much after that except for the VFL or AFLW."
The Under 19s AFL Women's National Championships will run from Monday, April 12, to Thursday, April 15.
The under 19s championships has been moved to the Victorian capital from the Gold Coast to ensure player and community safety in the wake of the recent coronavirus outbreak in south-east Queensland.
