The Scots shooters racked up points galore and doubled the Bulldogs' score in a 64-32 win.
Pre-season experience proved more than useful for some members of the SASC squad as their Bathurst representative players paved the way for success.
SASC coach Michael Germech said the team couldn't have much more of a stronger start than what they did on Saturday.
"A number of them had a game earlier with colts and that helped blow a few cobwebs out, and a few of them have also been playing in Regional League. They certainly weren't rusty and they've been waiting a long time for the season to start so they definitely turned it on," he said.
"Mia Baggett has improved out of sight in the last six months and as a target she's very hard to stop. She's tough to stop one-on-one and if they do double team her then Lucy Proctor is able to jump in front and is able to receive the ball nearly uncontested.
"I thought our players did a really great job of recognising what was the right decision to take."
Matches have been extended to their regular length after being shortened during 2020's COVID-affected season.
That makes fitness a factor that's become that extra bit more important.
"The delivery to the shooters was outstanding. We had a couple of centre passes glitches early on but the fitness of our girls, and the ability to just keeping running and running and making passes, was also a substantial factor," Germech said.
"We were only playing 12 minute quarters last season and going back to 15 makes the game seem a lot longer but our girls were ready for it."
The big question - after such a strong opening to the season - is whether SASC can trouble the A grade 'big three' of 2020 finalists Collegians Mystified, Panthers and Bulldogs Verdelho.
Germech said that's certainly a possibility, and the top four is on the squad's radar.
"We want to be in that top four when the season splits at the halfway point," he said.
"We want to be up there playing against those top teams at the end of the season. The next few weeks will be telling. We play Mystified this weekend and that will be a chance for us to test ourselves."
In other results Collegians Mystified beat Nova Sky 58-27, Bulldogs Verdelho were too strong for Superstars United 54-21 and Panthers beat clubmates Panthers Allsorts 52-16.
