Those in blue and gold dominated Monday's action with victories in the girls' hockey (4-1), tennis (14-2), girls' soccer (6-1) and boys' soccer (3-1) giving Bathurst an unassailable 12-4 lead in the point score.
The best Kelso can do is draw level in the cup with wins in Tuesday's four events.
"It's a great start for us and it's nice to be a part of this friendly cross-campus rivalry that's been in place for a while," Bathurst High teacher and Denison Cup organiser Sarah Murray said.
"It's also great to see everyone interacting with one another while we're all down here watching these games."
The boys' soccer match rounded out the day and provided the closest contest over Monday's events.
But it didn't appear to be heading that way after Bathurst High raced out to a 2-0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes.
In the third minute Bathurst were awarded a penalty were Mason Vuki was brought down in front of goal, and he made his chance count from the spot.
They went close on a corner minutes later but on their next attack up the field a great piece of build up play between Vuki and Toby Dinger led to a cross which Jesse Downey was able to put away.
Bathurst High were then denied twice in as many minutes when a scuffed shot from point blank range was scooped up by the goalkeeper and Dinger then had a hard strike from the top of the box blocked.
But in the 18th minute Kelso hit back against the run of play.
Zac Piggott made a break down the right side of the field, shaking off one defender with a dummy shot then beating another Bathurst player, before firing in a shot from outside the penalty area to the low left corner.
The remaining 12 minutes of the half belonged to Kelso, who had three more shots of target before the half-time whistle.
Piggott and Vuki traded early shots in the second half - both narrowly missing left of the goal.
Bathurst started to steal back the momentum midway through the second term, leading to a solid Vuki hit thumping off the crossbar.
Kelso missed a golden opportunity to equalise with a break down the field and Bathurst immediately punished them.
Dinger was given too much space to shoot at the top of the box and while his shot was blocked it trickled past the goal line.
BATHURST HIGH SCHOOL 3 (Mason Vuki, Jesse Downey, Toby Dinger) defeated KELSO HIGH SCHOOL 1 (Zac Piggott)
