Justin Buchta, who grew up in Bathurst before travelling the world to hone his skills in the performing arts, has recently returned with a view to help members of the community foster their creative talents.
"The aim is to help people deepen their skills around movement and improvisation, and will involve a wide range of play-building techniques incorporating comedy, drama, combat and slapstick routines," Mr Buchta said.
"These workshops involve the same theatre games and techniques taught at NIDA [National Institute of Dramatic Art]."
Mr Buchta said the first session on Wednesday, starting at 6.30pm, will be free for people to try, with the other seven sessions to run across June, July and August.
"Each class runs for two and a half hours, and the first session will be a preliminary introduction teasing what to expect in future sessions," he said.
"It's all about being playful with your imagination."
The entire course costs $300. For more information, call Mr Buchta on 0413228812.
